Tuition Assistance

It is our intention to ensure that each child, who is a member of St. Aloysius Parish, will not be denied an education at St. Aloysius Catholic School as a result of the inability to pay tuition costs.

If you would like to apply for tuition assistance, Four sources are available:  Ed Choice Traditional Scholarship (Kenwood District residence only)Ed Choice Expansion Scholarship of Ohio, Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund, and St. Aloysius Parish/School.

#1 Ed Choice Traditional Scholarship: This is a state of Ohio scholarship open to students assigned to designated under-performing public schools. Kenwood Elementary School in Bowling Green is currently listed as eligible for Ed Choice.  Students who attend Kenwood for the current school year (or would be eligible to enter there as a kindergartner for the 2019-2020 school year) may qualify for this scholarship in the amount of $4,650.

#2: The EdChoice Expansion Scholarship for Students entering Kindergarten through 6th grade.  Families who meet the income guidelines listed below are strongly encouraged to apply for this scholarship which will cover full tuition costs and is renewable each year. All documents are included in a registration packet in the school office.

#3: The Northwest Ohio Scholarship Fund (NOSF) offers funding for tuition assistance for families who enroll in local private schools and who meet specific qualifications. Eligibility is based on your family’s annual household income. Application information can be found at www.nosf.org or in your child’s registration packet.   This is renewable if a family continues to qualify.

#4: St. Aloysius School/Parish Tuition Assistance ensures that each child, who is a member of St. Aloysius Parish, will not be denied an education at St. Aloysius Catholic School as a result of the inability to pay tuition costs. Parish Financial aid application is available in the school office.  Final determination of assistance will be made each May by the Pastor and Principal.
