First grader Emma S. assists her classmates who need help or cheering up without being asked.
Leah M. of grade 3 shows so much initiative in raising money for the missions. She makes things to sell to her classmates and gives all the money to the missions. She is very generous with her time and talents and also always has her assignments finished on time.
Seventh grader Alissa M. goes out of her way to make new students feel welcome and part of the class.

Hannah J. of Grade 1 is always ready with a smile for someone who needs help or is sad. She uses her sense of humor with her expressive voices and facial expressions to cheer up those around her.
Third grader Peter E. uses the life skill of flexibility. He is very adjustable to whatever is happening without a pout or a spout. He is outstanding in this way due to many moves involving different schools and to visits to many hospital and doctors for treatment of the cancer he had.
Abel C. of seventh grade is a born leader, who is willing to assist his teachers with organizing service projects. He developed a system of easy collection of money for the School Council candy gram sale. He created a newsletter to inform students of the progress of the Adopt a Family project, and was a huge help to those setting up for the Mardi Gras celebration. His teachers agree he could be President some day.

St. Aloysius Catholic School Students of the Month for February use the life skill of flexibility.
Willow W. of grade 2 is willing to help others even before anyone asks. She adjusts well to changes with a smile.
Fourth grader Matthew A. has made a good adjustment to a new school. He has developed good relationships with his classmates.
Alex C. of eighth grade often demonstrates the willingness to alter his schedule and agenda to help out someone else. He cheerfully shows flexibility in serving others
Students of the Month - December 2010
St. Aloysius Catholic School Students of the Month for December model the life skill of caring.
Maggie M. of kindergarten makes sure everyone is included in group activities. She is very willing to help others complete a task if they are having difficulty. Maggie volunteers to help pick up trash or open the door for others. She remembers often to pray for those in need.
Third grader Anthony W. is the first to offer help to his classmates when their spirits are down. He is very willing to help around school without even being asked.
Robert M. of eighth grade often asks his teachers if they need assistance. He works with his peers to help get supplies ready. In groups he makes sure all his classmates are included. Robert shows his caring spirit to the community by participating as an alter server at funeral Masses.
Congratulations to these caring individuals.

Organization is the life skill demonstrated by the October Students of the Month as St. Aloysius Catholic School.
Shania C. of kindergarten keeps her work area neat. She helps pick up trash on the floor and organizes classroom books without being asked to help. Shania even helps others who are having difficulty with organization get their things in tidy order.
Fifth grader Hannah R.’s organization helps her excel in all of her schoolwork. She is prepared for class with all of the needed items. Her work is always neat and well done. Hannah sets an example of being organized for her classmates.
Hannah K. of grade 7 keeps track of all assignments and homework in her assignment notebook. She files her work in the appropriate place and has a very tidy locker.

Students of the Month- September 2010
The St. Aloysius Catholic School Students of the Month for September demonstrate the life skill of friendship.
Zach M. of Kindergarten gives smiles of encouragement to his friends. He includes students who are playing alone. Zach gently reminds others if they have not followed directions.
Third grader Payton M. is a great friend to a student who is experiencing many challenges. She is very patient and helpful in a positive way. Payton gives many words of encouragement and kindness.
Preston M. of grade 6 greets staff members in a polite and friendly way. He always has a smile for those he meets throughout the school.
The friendship of these students enriches everyone in our school.
Students of the Month - April 2010
Patience is the life skill shown by the St. Aloysius Catholic School Students of the Month for April.
Scotty B. of Kindergarten Readiness shows patience while learning new concepts. He is also patient with his friends and while taking turns in class. Third grader Jacob S. is an extremely patient student. He is very willing to wait and always helps teachers and students, not just when it is convenient. Matthew R. of grade 7 deals patiently with other students in class. He works with others in a positive manner.
We thank these students for the patience they show to others.
Students of the Month - March 2010
St. Aloysius Catholic School Students of the Month for March demonstrate the life skill of problem solving.
Alec R. of Kindergarten Readiness uses problem solving skills in dealing with social conflicts. He helps his friends work things out and understand that things will be okay. If he has a question, he asks for information, or he asks where he can find the answers on his own. Third grader Avery L. is a great problem solver. She is always looking ahead, not just for herself, but also for her classmates and teacher. Mark R. of Grade 8 is an active member of the Science Club where problem solving is a MUST. He was integral to his team’s construction of a water ride for physics class.
The problem solving skills of these students help everyone in the school.
Students of the Month : February, 2010

St. Aloysius Catholic School Students of the Month for February show compassion toward others. First grader Kaylee D. offers help without being asked when she sees a student who is sad or needs assistance.
Mary C. of grade 4 always befriends those in need. She is concerned about the happiness of others.
Charlie K. of eighth grade is kind and respectful to students and staff. He participates in the Rock-a-thon, raising much support for The Pregnancy Center.
We are thankful for the compassion shown by these students.
Students of the Month : January, 2010
Courtesy is the life skill shown by the January Students of the Month at St. Aloysius School. Lauren D. of grade 2 has the remarkable qualities of a polite eight year old. She often helps other students carry things or picks up what others have dropped. She uses her manners and is an excellent role model to others.
Third grader Katie K. is forever a great child who remembers her “pleases” and “thank yous” with a big smile. She does not interrupt when others are speaking and is always kind to everyone.
Jacob S. of sixth grade always greets people with a “hello” and opens doors for others. He treats others with kindness and goes out of his way to help anyone needing it.
We thank these students for modeling courtesy.
Students of the Month: December, 2009
St. Aloysius Catholic School’s Students of the Month for December show generosity in many ways.
First grader Kate T. frequently donates money to the missions that she earned at home or received from the tooth fairy.
Ava G. of third grade is generous with her spirit of giving from her heart. She cares for her classmates and her brother in kindergarten readiness. Ava always thinks of others before herself.
Anna S. of grade 7 is very willing to help. She sees something that needs to be done and responds with an open heart. She volunteered to assist younger students at lunch during play practice. Anna also participated at the St. Aloysius Bloodmobile in the canteen, loading the truck and cleaning up the site.
We commend these generous students during this season of giving.
Students of the Month – October 2009
Curiosity is the life skill shown by the October Students of the Month at St. Aloysius School. Andrew H. of kindergarten is very curious and observant. He asks many questions about things happening around him. His curiosity on the playground has introduced others to the wonders of insects.
Fifth grader Sebastian H. is a naturally curious student. He is always asking great questions and building upon the answers. As part of the unit on electricity he has been testing everything he can and blowing out quite a few light bulbs in the process.
Julia T. of grade 8 is a very excited learner and her enthusiasm is contagious in the classroom. In mathematics class she will often develop inferences, test them, and analyze results.
